Sue Waugh

Sue is essentially a self taught artist, but did take her first of many classes at DeCordova Museum School in Lincoln, MA., in 1983.   After exploring many artistic media, she started doing watercolors in 2000, and has never looked back.  She was also a docent at the museum  from 1990-97.  This included visiting inner city schools in Boston to explain "How to Look at Art", using paintings loaned from the museum's eclectic collection.

Sailing the coast of Cape Cod and the Gulf of Maine for 29 years with her husband has inspired her to paint both the majestic and the commonplace of a seafarer's life. Sue is a retired R.N. and Nursing Home Administrator.   She lives in New Harbor with her beloved black Lab...Nellie
