On Saturday July 20th, more than 25 artists from throughout New England
set up easels and palettes to paint the point.
Saltwater Artists Gallery held its second annual "Plein Air Day at Pemaquid Point" from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Artists were invited to paint a vista of their choosing around Pemaquid Point, one of the most iconic locations in coastal Maine. Later in the day celebrated artist, and Round Pond resident, Thomas Adkins judged the work and held an awards ceremony
Patrons could buy the art at a special onsite "wet paint" sale. The event benefited Bristol Parks & Recreation Department’s storm restoration efforts and a $500 check was presented.
Winners were:
1st Diane Dubreuil (New Milford, CT)
2nd Robert Schilke (Friendship, ME)
3rd Maria Nemchuk (North Andover, MA)
The weather was perfect and helped to make the event a special day for artists and observers alike!
